Complete these activites in order:

• Learn about Congruence by completing Steps 1-4 at this site.
• Learn about Similarity by complete Steps 1-4 at this site.
• Congruent Plane Figures
• Congruent Cross-Sections

With your partner, use the online geoboard to create similar and congruent figures. Use these procedures:

• Each partner selects a different color geoband to use.
• Partner #1 creates a shape on the geoboard and specifies that partner #2 makes either a congruent or similar shape on the same geoboard.
• Both must agree that the second shape is correctly created. Ask a classmate or Mrs. Dell if you can't come to consensus.
• Clear the board and repeat the procedure with partner #2 creating a shape and specifying either a similar or congruent shape to be made.
• Continue as time permits. Start with simple figures and them make them more complex as your skills improve.
