Theme 2: Prefixes and Suffixes

A suffix is added to the end of a word to change its meaning.

Study the meanings of the following suffixes then complete the activity below.

-ful - full of
Example: helpful means "full of help"

-less - without; lacking
Example: fearless means "without fear"

-ly - in the manner of; in a way which is
Example:  slowly means "in a way which is slow"
